Debra Nanni

A native of Buffalo, NY, living in Chicago, started her performing career at Gus Giordano's Jazz Dance Chicago. She was privileged to be a soloist and company member for The Chicago Dance Medium as well as an independent performer with many affluent dancers from companies in Chicago and abroad. Currently, she teaches and choreographs at various private studios and with professional companies in Chicago and throughout the Midwest. She loves teaching master classes nationally with professional dance workshops at independent studios and on the convention circuit. She is proudly in her 12th year of teaching in Austria and Italy for Balletshule Zechner with creating two international works on ballet company F.V.G Neu Space in Udine Italy, which has been seen on international television. With her extensive knowledge in all areas of dance, Debra is in her 20th year as an adjudicator for various national dance and talent competitions and her 5th year as a teacher on the national convention circuit. Through Debra’s teachings, her students have received many college scholarships, employment in the entertainment and television industry, professional companies and performances with nationally and internationally known recording artists.

  • Tumbling (Ages 6-8)
  • Tumbling at the beginner level for ages 6 to 8.

  • Tap I (Ages 6-8)
  • A beginner level tap class. In this class students will learn the basics of tap dance. The class will consist of a warm-up, tap technique, and a combination.
    For ages 6-8

  • Tap II (Ages 9+)
  • Tap II Ages 9+

  • Ballet III Ages 12+
  • Advanced level ballet technique is taught with ballet barre or floor barre, across the floor and center combinations. Ballet attire: Black leotard and pink tights with pink ballet shoes. Hair up in a tight bun.

  • Pointe / Pre-Pointe
  • Pointe/ Pre-Pointe prepares the dancer for pointe shoes; improves ankle/foot strength, and overall body placement. Dancers are periodically evaluated for Pointe readiness by the instructor. Pointe/ Pre-Pointe students work on ankle/foot strength and overall body placement in pointe shoes. In Pointe/ Pre-Pointe class you will work at ballet barre, across the floor and center combinations on pointe.

  • Ballet I (Ages 5-6)
  • Ballet technique is taught with ballet barre, floor barre, across the floor and center combinations. For Ages 5-6.

  • Ballet I (Ages 9-11)
  • Beginner Level ballet technique is taught with ballet barre or floor barre, across the floor and center combinations. Ballet attire: Black leotard and pink tights with pink ballet shoes. Hair up in a tight bun.

  • Ballet I (Ages 12+)
  • Beginner Level ballet technique is taught with ballet barre or floor barre, across the floor and center combinations. Ballet attire: Black leotard and pink tights with pink ballet shoes. Hair up in a tight bun.

  • Ballet II (Age 12+)
  • This Intermediate Ballet class is geared towards the older student. The teen classes are for ages 12 and up. Intermediate ballet technique is taught with ballet barre or floor barre, across the floor and center combinations.
