Dear Xtreme Dance Family, 

 

We have been following our Safer Studio™ Standards every step of the way since 2020 and continue to do so. 


Our strong focus on safety has made it possible to maintain a very low-risk environment while allowing our students to benefit from exercise and friendship in a safety-focused environment as well as the associated positive benefits on their social-emotional and mental well-being.

STUDIO POLICIES

UPDATED POLICY

XDC requires all staff and students to stay home when they are ill.  In order to reduce community spread of Coronavirus, we follow best practices and recommendations for our local health department and from our industry association, More Than Just Great Dancing!. XDC understands that unlike older children and adults, young children cannot be expected to maintain social distancing at all times.  Therefore XDC focuses on a hierarchy of measures beginning with keeping ill people home, followed by frequent hand cleaning and good hygiene practices, amplified cleaning, and curricular and facility adaptations to minimize contact and mingling where possible.  All studio classes are backed up on an online learning platform.  In the event a class is unable to be held at the studio classes will convert to an online learning platform until in-studio classes can resume.  

ONGOING REGISTRATION

Register anytime.  You can start mid-term and your cost will be pro-rated based on when you start within the term.  If you miss a class you are allowed to make up the class but you must make it up within the same term you missed, with another class, or you will loose it and have to re-register for another term. To continue you must setup Autopay to keep your 4 week terms continuous. 

 

If you want to drop into a class you may anytime as long as it is not full or a recital class after the cutoff date. Come in and pay the drop in fee at the front desk per class. 

 

For recital classes Ongoing registration is from June to December. December before our holiday break is the final cutoff for enrollment in our recital program.

STUDIO POLICIES

  • If your email changes you must update your email in the online registration system or let the staff know at the studio to update your email address.
  • You will not be allowed to enter any classes without payment. 
  • All minor dancers must have their parents signature on the liability  waiver form to participate.
  • All dancers must check in at the front desk before class begins.
  • No Gum chewing or food are allowed in dance studios.

CANCELLED CLASSES

  • Whenever a class is canceled by the dance center a refund or extension will NOT be given.

  • Dancers must make up the cancelled class with any other class within 4 weeks of the cancelled class.

  • Holidays will be prorated. Thanksgiving-Halloween-Memorial Day—Labor Day

  • Classes might be canceled occasionally during the competition season.

  • Xtreme Dance Center (XDC) reserves the right to cancel any class due to insufficient attendance.

  • Classes with less than 5 students may be canceled or combined with another class.

  • Classes may be canceled due to extreme weather conditions. An email notification will be sent to all students if the studio will be closed.

ATTENDANCE

  • When paying by the hour or for class packages you must stick with the scheduled classes you registered for. You are allowed 1 make up class per 4 week term.
  • Dancers will be allowed to make up a missed class anytime during their 4 week term with another class during the week.  A Make-up class will only be allowed during the 4 week term the dancer is registered for.  No Refunds will be issued.
  • If you miss a 1 hour class you will only be allowed to make up your class with another 1 hour class.
  • Class Packages  expire when your term expires regardless of how many classes were taken within that time.  No refunds will be issued.
  • Dancers who arrive over 10 minutes late to class must ask the teachers permission  to join the class late.
  • Dancers who arrive over 20 minutes late to class will not be allowed to take the class.
  • Students must be consistent with their attendance for recital classes in order to perform in the recital. 
  • Makeup classes after January 1st can be made up in non-recital classes only.  As the recital season is in full swing it is difficult to do makeup classes in another recital class due to the progress of each class into their recital dance making it difficult to do makeup classes after January 1st.

 

MEMBERSHIP FEE
  •  A non-refundable fee of $25 per student is required yearly at the time of registration.
PAYMENT OF FEES
  • Tuition must be paid by automatic credit card payment for all students who are registered for classes.  Autopay will be setup to run every 4 weeks based on the set term dates.
  • All students must have a valid credit card on file for autopay.  Auto payment is required for all term payments.
  • All charges will appear on your credit card statement from Xtreme Dance Center. 
  • If your term expires and you attend classes without bringing payment your credit card on file will be charged for classes taken. 
  • Services will be suspended for Non-Payment.
NSF PAYMENTS
  • NSF PAYMENTS—$25 fee will be charged for returned checks.
  • I hereby authorize the school to electronically debit my bank account for the amount of any NSF paper check or auto-debit transactions plus a $25 NSF fee.  
WITHDRAWAL AND REFUNDS
  • Withdrawal must occur within the first 7 days of the current term to withdrawal from the following term.  
  • Withdrawal will not be accepted over the phone. 
  • Withdrawal must be done with the school office through email, not with the teacher. 
  • To withdraw from classes a parent or adult student must:
    • Email request to info@dancecenterxtreme.com
  • All automatic credit card charges will stop after the one-month notice period.  No refunds will be given for failure to notify  us of your cancellation.
  • Class terms are purchased in 4 week increments.  All classes must be taken in that 4 week period or they will expire. Makeup classes are available within the 4 week term you are registered. No refunds will be issued for classes not attended.
EXTREME WEATHER OR UNEXPECTED INTERRUPTION OF CLASSES
  • If the school must cancel classes due to extreme weather or events beyond our control such as power outages, the missed lessons will be made up. No refunds will be given for lessons missed due to these reasons.  
SUBSTITUTIONS
  • Instructors are subject to change. No credits or refunds will be issued in this case.
  • The school reserves the right to provide a substitute teacher if the regularly scheduled teacher is ill or otherwise unable to teach classes. If a teacher is ill and the school cannot arrange a substitute any missed classes will be made up.  
PARENT'S RESPONSIBILITY TO BE AWARE OF DATES AND EVENTS
  • It is the responsibility of the parent or adult student to be aware of all school activities, such as viewing days, recitals, extra classes, due dates and dates the school is open or closed.
  • The school will post all such notices on the Website, bulletin board  in the kitchen, TV slideshow in the lobby as well as emailing notices.
  • It is the parent’s responsibility to regularly check these forms of communication to ensure they are informed.
  • It is the responsibility of the parents or adult students to inform the school of any address, email or telephone number change.
  • It is the parent’s responsibility to keep a valid credit card on file. The parent must update any credit card changes with the front desk staff.  
CARE OF STUDENTS
  • The school is not responsible for providing before or after class care for students. Students are not to be left at the school for excessive time before or after class.
